overheating

thinking about buying an 87 n/a with a tII turbo setup on it. the motor is overheating and i know practically nothing about rotarys. Anyone have any guesses why it overheats? my buddy was running over 10 psi when it blew up. Coolant seals? rear iron? i dont have a clue
