welcome to the board.

was the system flushed before he put the new fluid in? are you sure fluid is circulating?

1. well, obviously non-functional fans are no help to your cause, so fix them.

2. make sure there is adequate fluid in the system

3. how old is the thermostat?

4. how old is the radiator cap?

Thank you for your response, the System wasn't flush,I bought a 98 Front clip from japan, the thermostat wasn't change, and the radiator is the same that came with the front clip, the engine has 72.263k

no. no. no.

time, effort and money spent maintaining your cooling system is almost NEVER a waste. who knows how long that stuff was sitting before you bought it? who knows what kind of life it led?

start from scratch with everything -

1. flush the system well
2. if you can't/don't NEED to replace the radiator, then have it cleaned and checked and get a new cap
3. get a new water pump
4. get a new thermostat
5. get new hoses (and clamps)
6. mix your coolant appropriately for your climate
7. burp the system thoroughly
8. make sure the fans work as they are supposed to

how much oil are we talking about?

the best answer i can give without actually seeing it is it could be normal. i say that because it could be oil (which would be abnormal since i think the FD did away with oil jets in the intake tract) or it could be carbon/soot (maybe your EGR system or normal reversion) mixed with fuel. i suppose one other possibility could be residual premix if it was used.

i'm only offering scenarios here. hopefully someone more intimate with FDs, like SgtBlue, will see this and offer a more concrete answer. sorry.
