MO Over Pressurization of Fuel System

So, I removed the rats nest and installed the RC exhaust. Everything works well but I noticed a gas drip coming from the carb. Everything I have read points to "Over Pressurization".
A buddy had the problem but it was due to the check valve back by the fuel pump. I have to think it has to do with the rats nest removal.
Anybody run into this issue?

I'm going to guess a bad gasket, combined with a possibly bad float/needlevavle.
