ordering wheels today

whats up everyone, so im gonna order my new wheels here in a bit. i have it narrowed down to either the xxr 522s, varrstoen te37 replicas, or the rota p45s. i have searched and found many threads relating but im just hoping for a simple plain answer so i will feel comfortable when i order my wheels...i want them to fit right the first time...as much as i want to go 18" i have decided to go 17" does anyone know what off set will be perfect, or what if i went 17"x8" in front with around 25-35mm offset and 17"x9" in back with 35-45mm offset, will that work? thanks for your advice as always.

thanks, Alex W.

Best advice I can give you is to work with a knowledgeable vendor - I highly recommend Rishie at AutoRND who is a vendor on the forum. He knows what fits, great prices and excellent customer service.

I recently bought wheels and tires for my car. ^gracer can testify that I had similar questions.
Here's a calculator that I found helpful. Wheel Offset Calculator
along with this http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

FWIW, I went with 17 X 9 +48. I'm running 255 40 17 at all four corners with adjustable height coilovers set at near stock (slightly lower) height. No issues. In order to keep your speedometer close, you want to stay with an overall wheel diameter as close to 25" as possible. The above tire size does that.
Search in the Suspension/wheels/tires/brakes section for more info and opinions.

^Forgot to tell you...for reference/comparison when using the above calculator, the stock wheels were 16 X 8 + 50 off-set. Stock tire size was 225 50 16

When you say "perfect offset", what fitment are you referring to?

My fav offset calculator:
