an LS1 would be fun, but it is becoming more and more difficult to actually find a 7 with a rotary still in it

If you want to go v8 without the cost of a ls1 id say go with a 1uzfe or a 3.5l rover v8 both are aluminum so it would save you the extra weight and they both also love the boost

Ls1 rx-7 is a unique sound too. Loud bark and a hard bite

I think the Ls1 is a great engine, but the only thing that makes an rx7 to me is the fact is has a rotary. So that would kinda ruin it to me.

I built a ls1 fc convertable a few years ago and it was a great driving car. Nothing fancy , just a bone stock motor and 6-speed. I have nothing against the rotary it was just easier for me to get the results I wanted with the swap.

13BT for originality, LS1 for easy repair.

I'd say the rotary, it's the point of an rx-7, and its fun. Completely different... and 400HP on 1.3L? That's awesome!

Roartery ! But out of curiosity, how common is a Skyline motor ? I've seen them in some magazines, but can't find much about it.
