Odometer / Trip Counter adjustment

Hello,

I have a JDM 1996 RX-7 converted to MPH. The speedo seems to be accurate enough, but the trip counter seems to massively under-read.

In a convoy of cars that are saying around 4.7 miles, mine is saying 2.9.

Does anyone know if this can this be adjusted?

More than likely no, since it's digital and the counter relies on a specific number of pulses from the VSS to change to the next digit. Its unlikely, but you may be able to swap the display control chip and the driver inside the cluster.
