So i have an 86 mazda rx7...the body is the sport model but the new motor i have is suppose to be the exact replacement. now that it is in i am either not getting power to the fuel pump. I dont know where the loss is at but the pump is brand new. So do i have a bad wire or relay. also can i just run a power and ground to the pump and put it on a toggle switch. please i am all out of cash and cant get it to run anyone and everyone please give me a lesson in rotary cars

 

How did you prove that you were not getting fuel? Fuel pump does not come on w/key to on unless you jumpered the fuel check connector or opened the flapper to the AFM or the engine is already running. Otherwise, the pump turns on w/key to start.
