No/ little voltage on r/y wire at air conditioning 86 base na 5 sp
Is there any reason why I can't splice into the yellow wire going to w/wiper (I think) to provide 12v to the red/yellow wire going into the main ac relay (in front of radiator) I have a toggle switch for the fan( all or nothing) and the switch on the logicon for ac increases rpm... But lately doesn't always engage the compressor....just started acting up recently..... Pressure is good... Pressure switch is good....relay is also good.... Just need to get through summer...sold my truck so the 86 NA base is going to be a daily driver for awhile...Buying another logicon to solder to hopefully make a better fix... But with 3part time jobs....might be awhile before I have time to do it right... I searched and found great advice on freon etc and found the wiring schematics and troubleshooting from the 91 fsm... But looking for confirmation as to whether this will be ok... I jumpered a wire from the battery to it and it engages the clutch... But I don't want to make things worse.....at least it held up to Vail Colorado and back;P thanks, and if I missed what I'm looking for... Please point me in the right direction.... I remember a thread about hot wiring the AC but can't find it... And don't know if the answer was there....if it matters AC appears to be the only option on the car
