no lights working at all :(

vehicle: 1988 turbo 2
ecu: n333

hey guys so as the title states i have zero lights when i key on. im very new when it comes to rx7s and im finding the old school wiring diagrams hard to read. the car is not in running condition yet as im waiting on bigger injectors etc i just bought the car and at the time it didnt have a battery, so yesterday i put a battery in and and went to flick the lights on and found that they would pop up but the headlights would not come on, at a quick glance i noticed that zero lights were working including the brake light when pressed( i know this could be a seperate issue) anyways i have read that the headlight switch goes bad but would this cause all of my lights not to work? seems weird. anyways the previous owner swaped the turbo 2 and wiring into the car and deleted the egr and omp etc. so i noticed that there was a few unplugged connectors under the dash(hoping that this is supposed to be) i also have the radio and clock removed at this time however as far as i can tell this shouldnt effect the lights at all . i ruled out all of the fuses as i checked them last night. so at this point in time im hoping that someone else has had a similar issue and can point me in the right direction. thanks

A lot of my lights were not working because of corrosion. Test to see if you are getting power to the socket. The lights are divided up into seperate harnesses, so its odd that no lights are working. The first place I would look is the battery, then the sockets, then the grounds. If you don't have power at the sockets, try backing up to the fuse box. Check for power there. Good luck.

Start w/the brake lights as that should be an easier fix. Look at the 20 amp Stop fuse and see if it's good. This fuse powers the Green/White wire at the Stop Light Switch on the brake pedal. There are two switches on this pedal so focus on the one w/the Green/White wire and the White/Green wire as the other switch "does not" have these wires so leave that switch alone. If the fuse was good then the G/W wire would have "constant" voltage (no key necessary). When the pedal is depressed the voltage passes from G/W to W/G. See if these things work as they should.

For the other lights to work the 15 amp Illumination fuse needs to be good so check this fuse. Using the multimeter set to "continuity" will verify if a fuse is good.

alright thanks guys im going to go through it tommorow and see what i can come up with i figured i should at least have brake lights as its a different circuit all together but no. i checked the fuses the other day and they all checked out. i will check the brake switch like you said though satch as the the brake light circuit is pretty basic.

ok so yesterday i founf that i was getting no power to my illum fuse under the dash, originally i thought i was but i looked at the fuse box cover wrong. anyways i traced it back to the pin out on the 60 amp fuse being backed out and not making connection, so i fixed that and tested my lights i now have sidemarker lights, running brake lights. still no headlights, however when i turn the headlighs on i can hear the relay going crazy for the headlights so im going to test a new relay today. i still figure some of the wiring is mixed up due to the fact that i still have no turn signal lights and my hazard lights only work if the switch for the headlights is turned to the off position(really weird). and my brake lights seem to have no input from the brake switch.
