SC Nikki help

Hey guys. I have an '81 GSL and it runs like a champ but the secondaries are not opening up. I used some carb cleaner and noticed the secondary side would puddle up with cleaner. I would go and rev the car to 5-6k and it was still sitting in the secondary. I took a butter knife and pushed open the secondary and the car bogged from the cleaner then cleared up. As I push open the secondary butterflies, fuel does come from both secondary jets and the rpms increase. You can also notice the difference in sound as the secondary opens. I figured maybe the secondary wouldn't open under no load. While driving the car, it only pulls as if the primaries are functioning and really only pulls until about 3500-4000rpm. So the secondaries are not opening. Any ideas. I don't believe I have a vauum leak because the engine runs perfectly at idle,no hesitation or roughness. I am going to spray some starting fluid around base of carb and other areas to look for a vacuum leak. Thanks for any ideas. Rob

Question where to find

I checked out the Sterling Metal Works site and read that there are two air passages that vacuum travels to the secondary to open the secondary. That sometimes fuel may flood these air passages and then gum/varnish up clogging them. Question is does the carb have to come off and apart to blast air/cleaner through to clear out the secondary air passages or can they be cleaned out on hte car and where are these orifices located? Thanks, Rob
