Hey guys!

I've been interested in RX-7's for quite some time and decided to break down and get close to purchasing one. I read through some informational threads here but I figured I'd go ahead and get some opinions!

I'm looking at a 2nd gen 1991 turboII 5spd with 89k miles, fully rebuilt updated J-spec engine. Owner says it's pushing 389 RWHP, 321tq @22psi.

Now, to the questions. This would obviously be my first 7 and a daily driver at that. I know the owner has used it as a daily driver as well and has always taken care of it (they all say that ). He's originally asking $8800, as of now I was told if I bring $7,000 cash it's mine. Seems like a sweet deal and an awesome ride but that's why I'm here!

Is there anything I should know about these cars that I possibly missed out on? Or heck, is it not even worth the cash? Just looking for any help from all you 7 heads out there . (Sorry for the vague open ended question, figured you guys could tell me what you feel is needed)

On that motor he is running a SAFC? That seems odd to me.

For your first 7 this is a whole lot of car.

 

And possibly dangerously high boost.
