New rx7, speedometer trouble .

Hello,

I just purchased a 91 rx-7 and in its current setup with a sr20 DET swap, the speedometer does not work. I was looking for advice for either replacing it or somehow adapting it to work. Any advice?

Thanks

You most likely need an adapter to get the stock speedo to work on your "new trans".
I'm guessing that is why the other owner didn't hook up the speedo.

Go to the junkyard and look for a speedometer cable off of whatever the trans you have in it came out of. You'll likely have to piece something together using a speedometer cable repair kit and junkyard parts.
