New RX7, new issues, by no fault of the car!

Hey guys, I picked up an S5 Turbo II ECU from a salvage yard (N370.) When it got delivered I was unsure if I was sold a nonturbo ECU. It plugs into the harness, so I know it's an S5, however I don't know if it is indeed an S5 turbo ECU. I took pictures of the inside of the board, there is a number on the chip and on the board itself, could someone chime in and help out and confirm if i was sold the wrong ECU or if this is indeed an S5 N370?

chances of someone swapping the top cover of the ECU is extremely unlikely, if its plugging in, why do you think you got the wrong ECU?

The outside casing conveniently has the N 3XX scraped off on the label on the side of the case, as well as the area where the NXXX XX 881 would be under the "EGI" lettering on the label as well. I emailed Rtek and they were kind enough to chime in and say they did have an ECU with that number on the EPROM chip, and it was handwritten that it was an N351. Plus, on their install instructions for Rtek for a S5 nonturbo, they mention with pictures that the board is silk screened with "IC007" which is visible in my picture.

This makes three ECU's i've been sold that were either bad or passed off as being N370's that were actually NA ECU's.

One N370 I bought I actually sent out to texas to have rebuilt at NPC automotive (do not recommend them to anyone.) They said they found issues with what i was describing (idle issues) and then said it was just a pain to find parts for and they were sending it back.

One N370 I bought from Ebay, seller claimed it worked perfectly fine, I plug it in, instant limp mode for the OMP. So just do be extra thorough, i unplug the OMP connection, same thing. Then I swap in the N351 ECU the car originally had, with OMP connectors still unplugged, exact same behavior. Plug them back in, car's perfectly fine. Going through that paypal dispute currently.

Then there's the one I posted the thread about, which according to what I've found from Rtek, its an S5 N351. Salvage yard naturally had nothing to say.

It's just been a nightmare trying to find a S5 Turbo II ECU for the car, so many fakes floating around.
