hey i was wondering if there is a book out there that anyone can recommend that breaks down how to maintain your rx7, getting familiar with engine components and and possibly rebuilding. Im very clueless with cars in general and i would like to learn . i have a rx7 fc and i just want to know how to maintain it properly and know more about it . Thanks

 

Have you seen the FAQs stickied in these forums? Read them. A lot of knowledgeable people spent time putting that knowledge together.

That is the closest you will come to a book for a 20 year old car.

Factory Service Manual (FSM) & Haynes manual

 

The factory service manual is very good and will help you understand what all is under the hood. The 93 Service Highlights Manual is also very informative. Haynes does not make a manual for the 93+ RX-7, neither does Chilton. Trouble with this is the Mazda manuals were written before the car ever rolled a mile and so they don't answer many of the real-world troubleshooting conditions. So you'll need to learn from sources like this website and major RX-7 support shops.
