New to rotary
I have a 1983 12A with a 5 speed I am installing into a 1954 Anglia (car should weight about 1700 lbs when finished). I have removed the rats nest and declutterd the carb, I am also running an aftermarket header. Now what I need to know is will this setup run without the stock ECU, I have also thought of adding a MSD unit and wonder what is the best choice. Living in rural British Columbia I do not have to deal with emission testing.
I hope my questions are to dumb but I'm new to rotarys, I have a 1962 Ford Falcon with a 1970 429 which I built a few year back, here's the link if anyones interested. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3259247
Thanks for the help

Awesome combination!
Yes, everything works fine without the stock ECU. The stock ECU is just used for things like decel ignition cut and a few emissions chores.
An MSD unit is a nice addon to the weak 1st gen ignition system. If you are using one MSD, put it on the leading coil. If you are buying two, then one each leading and trailing.
