New to this problem help please!!
Hey I have a 93 and i just did a vacuum job replaced the duty solenoid the EGR solenoid and a black and green check valve in the process put my car back together and my favorite thing come on "the check engine light" yeahhhhh.. Anyways I did the diagnosis and lucky number 18 comes up so looked it up and it's the tps sensor ( throttle position sensor) I want to fix this soo question is what can i do to fix this replace the sensor or do i need to do some investigating to make sure it hasn't done any damage somewhere else I've never dealt with this before

Remove the negative battery terminal cable to clear the CEL. Then start the car to see if it comes back. If it does, check all the wiring associated with the TPS to make sure everything is connected. Perhaps you "disturbed" a connection during your work on the EGR, etc.
Otherwise, perhaps the FD owners will have some additional suggestions.

You can try this too
You can as mentioned earlier disconnect battery (should have been disconnected
while you were working if it wasnt). I would definetly double check all your connectors especially the ones under intake chamber, vacum chamber, at your
solenoids, etc.. It is of course possible that your TPS went bad sitting in the
garage however, having done a complete vacum line replacement with Hose Tech-
niques silicone, seemless tubing,I have a feeling thats not it. I also eliminated a ton of stuff. It is a good way to learn about you car too. I spent weeks in the evening a few winters ago painting all the hard plumbing and small brackets around that area. Installed the new hoses (color coded) with wire ties on all the connections like hose clamps. I also bench tested all the solenoids and manually checked all vacum operated components. Found one with a rust hole in it too that was definetely affecting my secondary turbo from kicking in properly. Man it is nice when one of these cars runs right.
