new guy needs help...badly

broguht my 1988 SE 7 like 2 months ago, was running fine. its stock. i'm losing oil pressure everytime the it warms up to normal temp n the rpm goes crazy bouncing from 1000-1500. after it warms up since i dont move till the temp gauge moves alil while the rpms bounces then claims down. i come to a stop in neutral it dies. turn it back on. when i moving my oil pressure is fine but when i come to a stop it goes down to 0! to get oil pressure back i hold the gas to 2000rpm. i have fun in traffic...... i changed out the oil n filter n plugs n wires(needed it) please help!!

Maybe a bad oil pump? I would say maybe a blown head gasket but I just found out rotaries don't have those...

I would check to see if you have enough oil first. Next check for any leaks. Then see if the oil pump is still good. It can also be a bad sending unit or gauge.
