Cool need help with choice making

im 15
and i need help deciding which generation to start saving up for , for a first car. i have a job and all . i like all 3 of them but my fave is 2nd gen . can some one help
me thanks

well im only 15 .soo yeah but the 2nd generation.?
tht sounds good. and i'm pretty sure theese cars are reliable well the engine atleast.

Don't buy a 3rd gen. Buy a non-turbo 2nd gen or 1st gen.

That's gonna be a non-modded 2nd gen non-turbo. As long as it's stock it is fairly reliable for a rotary

I'm Learning a lot .
But Lastly i know how to do an oil change on a piston engine is it the same here or diff? i kinda wanna learn how to do the maintenence stuff on my car by myself.
Is there anywhere else i can check to find this stuff out?

n/a second gen all the way! try to get a series 5. i have one, and its great one the pockets. just dont burn up the engine trying to race people.

If you want to talk reliability, nothing beats a 12A 1st gen. However the lack of power will seem boring, and parts are getting hard to find. Also, many of those cars are just plain worn out.

A 2nd gen NA is then the next logical place to start. Very reliable, easy to work on, and parts are easily available. Not much in the power potential range, but when you want more power you can move up to turbo.

Oil change is the same as a piston engine. Check the FAQ for the FSM, and get yourself a copy of the Haynes manual.
