Make sure the battery is fully charged, that is one way to keep it from flooding. If you keep trying to start the car with a low battery charge it will flood the combustion chambers with fuel and since the car isn't starting the fuel doesn't get burned off it just sits there and the more you try to start it the more fuel accumulates in the chambers making it harder to start each time. I went through a very,very,very frustrating procedure with my first Rx-7 that was directly related to that. I was just too dumb at the time to understand why.
