Do you have a fuel leak?

On 3rd Gens it's not uncommon to develop a fuel leak (with the associated risk of a very serious engine fire) as well as running very rich. If you see / smell strong fuel odor I would first rule out the fuel leak possibility because the consequences are so nasty.

As for the problem of getting it started, I'll guess that you're engine is flooded. Rotaries don't resolve a flooded condition by letting it sit overnight. You need to look up the procedure for unflooding. But again, I would not start the car until I was sure that there is not a fuel leak.

yes often the fuel can leak from around the unions on the primary rail under the plenum, sometimes finds its way onto the exhaust manifold!

Generally, holding the accelerator to the floor (this is a factory implemented fuel cut switch) and cranking the motor over several times is enough to clear flooding. You should also check your plugs if the car still refuses to fire.

Fuel

OK so i cant find a fuel leak, i also talked to a racing company called PINNEAPPLE RACING in oregon, and they told me a way that might get it started by taking out the EGI fuse next to battery, crank engine then put the fuse back in.

the car puttered started for 2 seconds lots of white smoke out the exhaust then the car just died

That is one basic step for unflooding the engine. If you do that plus remove the upper plugs when you crank, it will usually get started.

If you get it to putter when you're trying to start it, feel free to use partial throttle to encourage it.
