msd questions
i bought a 85 rx7 the other day, and the way the guy i bought it from had the msd was pretty crappy.
the msd ignition was wired correctly, but there were 2 msd blaster 2 coils connected. the wires were to one, then there were wires connected from the first to the second. from there each coil was connected to an individual spark plug.
the original coil was still connected and had a cable going from it to the distributer, and the distributer was connected to the other 2 spark plugs.
i took out one of the msd coils and have one still connected(at times). i have all the plugs connected to the distributer now, when i try to start it in the mornings it wont start, so i'll plug cord from the distributor to the msd coil and it will start for a few seconds then die, then it wont again, so i switch back to the original coil and it will start up and run fine.
any ideas what the heck i can do to get this fixed cheaper? thanks.
