Modifying fuel rails S5

Hey, ive just bought a new fuel setup for my s5 motor and this new setup includes a sard regulator, trouble is the standard fuel rail currently holds the standard fuel pressure regulator. i have been told that cutting it off, drilling out the insides and welding a new fuel outlet is the way to go but i was wondering if there was any alternatives to this, also just to clarify, the primary injectors go into the manifold or is that secondaries?

Cheers

There is no non-hackish alternative.

The primary injectors are on the center iron. The secondaries are on the intake manifold.
