Mine is an 1984, but how far back can i go to find a match?

It's windshield molding. Here's a link to Black Dragon Automotive. They sell parts for 1st gen 7's and Z cars. If the link doesn't work, just go to www.blackdragonautomotive.com and go to catalog page 100.

Check American ebay, there is a few people selling the trim your looking for, alot cheaper than black dragon.

for the first gens you can go from 81 to 85 almost all the parts are the same
