Might be "financing" a 3rd gen - Neep opinions

Hey whats up? First off Im going to start by saying I posted here only because there is no Non tech section for 3rd gens and this part of the forum gets a lot of attention. OK, there is a red 1993 3rd gen. twin turbo Rx-7 with 49,000 miles, MINT inside and out for sale for $20,000. I am not the richest person but I can afford payments on the car and since its at a dealer ship that works for me. I need to finace the car. Im thinking of going to the bank or a credit union instead of going through the dealer ships bank or credit union and paying $5,000 extra for the car plus a lower interest rate. This car is my dream car and it is mint conidition and running perfectly. It is sitting on the showroom floor of the dealership it is so nice. I want to hear some opinion from 3rd gen owners and everyone if you guys think it will be worth it in the long run! I know a little of 3rd gens since all Ive owned so far is 2nd gens but I do know they are a high maintanence car like all Rx-7s. Parts are more expensive then all other series. I am not planning on racing it or anything. I would love to own this car. Any input is appreciated.

Don't do it.

Do not finance a 3rd gen RX7.

If you can't pay cash and don't have money in the bank to fix any issues that might arise, do not buy the car. Put the money in the bank and keep on saving. Maybe learn to invest it so you can grow your money.

I agree. I wouldn't do it unless you can buy it outright.

I'm interested in what's so special about the car for it to sell for $20,000? I've seen some pretty impressive cars sell for a little less from private sellers.

Probably because its a small dealership and this is like the best car they have ever had in their lot haha. It has 49,XXX original miles and the body/interior is clean as hell. I wish I had the money to buy an FD straight out. If I did it probably wouldnt be this one though. I agree it is a high price to ask when I see ones with similar mileage and mods go for 10 thousand dollars less. I am only interested in it because it was in my reach but I heard the saying some FD owners say to people who just bought or are looking to buy an FD... Now that you have one go buy another car for when it takes a **** on you lol
