Mech/Tech problems FC
Hey guys, been having some issues with my vert fc.
1. Passenger side windshield wiper wont move, it will budge but it wont go up the window, NOTE: my wipers only work on one speed.
2. My clock never keeps the time, and most of the time it will cut off while driving down the road, NOTE: my time/date/etc wont stay on my Pioneer double din either?
3. The antenna stopped going up and down, after installing the double din it went up but now wont go back down, also when i turn the key over sometimes it wont make the chime it should letting u know the key is turned over.
Anyone else having these problems or know whats wrong?
Thanks!

welcome to the board.
1. assuming the wiper motor in the FC is similar ones I've seen on other cars, there should be a lever arm that moves the wiper arm in synch with the motor (which is probably directly connected to the driver's arm). check to see if it somehow slipped off.
2. assuming (again ) that the stock harnesses are still intact, I would start by trying to find where the harness that feeds the clock is grounded and see if it is secure. if the more likely scenario of a hacked harness is your case, then you might as well get a wiring diagram and start tracing.
3. who did the Pioneer install? double-check the wiring.

Power antenna works on a negative trigger where as aftermarket radios output a positive trigger. A 12 volt relay mist be used to operate antenna. If the installation company simply hooked the positive output from head unit to the negative trigger from antenna than a fuse may be blown or antenna motor may be shot.
