Mass Airflow Meter

Has anyone tryed to install a 91 RX7 MAF meter on a 86 RX7?

Yes, it can be done with some rewiring of the plug, but there's also no real point.

if you are doing this because your original maf is broken i have a spare working 86 rx7 N/A maf i could sell ya"or trade if ya have something ya looking to get rid of", id even put it up on ebay auction to make it safe for both parties that is if ya want to buy it and not trade.

I had purchased a 86, but I use to have a 91. I still have all the parts from the 91. But the 86 I bought is missing the MAF, and being the MAF on the 91 permits more air flow I figured I would see if it would work. Also, yes I will trade you parts, but I am not sure of what I have yet, being I am going to strip the 86 down and shove a whole lot of 91 into it, but let me know what you are looking for and the odds are in favor that I have it

Making that swap would not be a good idea. While the S5 AFM can be adapted, its output voltage curve is different which will lead to a rich engine. Don't bother.
