ID Junk Yard RX7's

I read a post awhile back, cannot find it now, that mentions which parts of the later 1st gen and 2nd gen will fit on an 81. They currently have 5 at the junk yard ranging from an 83-86. What would be an upgrade from my 81?

-Rear interchange with compatible car. Miata?
-Front Struts
-Anything in the later 1st gens that are an upgrade?

I know some of these have been posted so if you can either explain again or guide me to the right page.

Also in regards to an electric fan, wouldn't I be able to just find an electric from a stock cars in the junk yard and replace my stock fan? As long as it puts out a good amount of air I wouldn't run into many problems would I?

Thanks for all the help

This might help with your swap issues: http://mrmazda.no-ip.com/interchange.html

Miata won't work. IRS vs. solid axle.

1st gen struts are pretty much interchangeable but not to second gen cars. The 84-85 front struts are more desirable due to larger bearing sizes.

Lots of us are using electric fans with no issues. Yes any decent size fan or two smaller ones will work.

A GREAT electric fan swap comes out of the first-generation 3.8 Ford Taurus. Most junkyards have tons of them. The 3.0L cars had the same fan, but when they grew the block, they made the fan thinner, so the 3.8 fan fits even better. It'll completely cover your radiator and oil cooler, though you'll have to notch it a little to clear the radiator return at the bottom.

Thanks for the links! So during the 4 hours I was at the junk yard I found some good stuff, at least I think.

1985 13B
-LSD
-Good looking Struts

How hard would it be to restore this LSD and swap in my 81? I would rather have someone who has done this before warn me before I get in over my head. And what I would be looking at, as far as costs, on bringing her back to life. Here are some pics:

Is there any complications I will run into during this swap?

Also some random pictures of some RX7's I found there. If you see anything you need or would like just let me know and we can talk.
