JDM S4 Convertible issues
Hey there, just hoping to shed a little light on things I should look out for eg areas prone to rust, mechanical or electrical problems and just general small issues or problems with 88 convertibles.
I realize that the list may be never ending but it always helps to hit the ground running!
I've recently taken ownership of my first rx7. And it's in need of restoration, everything is there and operates, but it's not legally on the road yet. I will be preparing it for vehicle inspection, once the cars new license is obtained I'll look at parking the vehicle and pulling the engine, rebuilding engine, conversion to 5 speed etc.
This build will be blog worthy however I thought Id touch base with a few people first and get a rough idea on what direction I should take and the issues to look out for while restoring my convertible.
I will post photos as soon as I have use of my PC.
Thanks, Andrew

That's understandable, I will have shed prepared for it soon and have been repairing the a-pillar rubber water channels so hopefully this will help a lot.
I will be removing the roof and mechanism shortly to clean and check everything is in working order, and list to inspect the inner rear wheel arches. There seems to be an area that has had work, so I'm keen to uncover what the silicone is hiding and repair it properly.
