I just upgraded to a 63mm t04 p trim turbo from a much smaller t04 turbo. I also upped the secondary injectors to RC 1600cc bosch type injectors from 1100cc RC units. I am still running 550 stock primarys that have been flowed. The map was good before but much to rich now. I also cant get the engine to idle for more than about 30 secounds. After 30 secounds the injector ms goes way up and floods out the motor! So much so the motor hydralics when I go to restart. I have read the manual and it seems so complicated! Can anyone be of help? I would so much appreciate it. I have missed out on one glamis trip this weekend and would like to get it going soon! I have much more info to anyone interested in helping.

flamethrower13b: I should point out the reason for my turbo and injector upgrade was I me and my brother puchased another sandcar with a 2nd gen 13b built by redline performance in anahiem back in 03 the motor has a t04 60-1 compressor with a ptrim exhaust .69 ar. The motor has a haltech f9 fuel only computer with a distributor and two msd boxes and two msd blaster coils. This motor runs so unbelievable! Its has not been dynoed by us yet but at 20lbs of boost this car is got to be making @ 500hp. The larger turbo spools 3000 rpm sooner and hits full boost with a load under 3000 rpm and accelerates like a dream.

My question is How do I get the tune from the haltech computer with out erasing it? Can I transfer the data from this tune onto the other car with the electromotive tech 2. Is this possible. The motors in these two cars are now almost Identical.

The only difference is injectors and turbos. The car with the haltech has a slightly smaller compressor wheel in the turbo. 60mm instead of 67mm. Not a huge diffrence. The injectors I am not sure on but I think redline uses 850cc for primarys out of the later 93 13b 3rd gen used for secoundarys if that makes sense. Then puts 1300cc for secoundarys. The car with the electromotive tech 2 has stock flowed 550cc primarys and 1600cc secoundarys.

My goal is to get the sand car with the electromotive tech 2 to run as good as the car with the haltech. I must also point out the motor with the haltech was built and dyno tuned by redline performance in anahiem. The motor with the Electromotive tech 2 has been originally built and tuned by unlimited rpms that has gone out of buisness a while back. Since then the motor has run lean, burned up, rebuilt. Over heated and run lean burned up, rebuilt again. The last person that rebuilt it was Fast Freddys out of Santa Ana. It has the lighter rotors, mild street port, something dowel pined. It has since been dynoed by a place called the dyno shop in santee. Then again at Fast freddys. And then tweaked a little by me on a few occasions when I noticed it was running lean by the looks of the plugs. All I was able to do was to up the injector duty cycle and the fuel pressure. This seemed to help. Also giving the motor more advance in the low rpm really helped as well. I lost myself and totally missed my point. The point is no one seems to really now what there doing with the electromotive. Including myself. Everytime I ask people about tuning this computer over the six year period of having this thing. I get the same answer. Get a motec! They are like 5 grand after all the sensors wideband 02 and dyno tuning. I can get 2more motors built for that with the parts I have!
