Information - Old 80's IMSA GTU's

Hi, Chris from Rochester. Race old Gen 1 7's in SCCA and Vintage.
Looking for good Info on the 80's RX7 builds. I will be building a Retro GTU car and looking for period ideas.
thanks

I'm sure that you've taken this "first" step, but Google "IMSA GTU RX-7 Images" to get an idea of the variety that are out there.

These race shops were active in racing Mazda rotaries back then, and they may even be able to reproduce parts if you need them.

thanks - the Google "Images " is neat. They have pics of two of my friends - Doug Gurnet and Chris Dembs - who ran these back in the 80's in their archives. Doug Gurnet and I ran a two car RX 7 team last year at the Vintage Daytona 24 and had a blast....

Actually looking for another car to build - unfortunately most of the IMSA cars have been modified form the original tubs to full tube frame cars...

Anyone know of an original IMSA or Limited Prep SCCA e or D Gen 1 Seven with a tub that needs a new home? No IT cars thanks.....
