Question Increasing BBS Bore (59.6mm to 67.1mm) - Will integrity be compromised

Hey guys, i joined RX7 club hoping to find a set of 15" or 16" bbs wheels i can use as winters (unique and light). Problem is the bore of newer mazda's (2010 mz3) is 67.1mm where as the rx-7 FC bbs centre bore is 59.6mm.

I have found a shop willing to machine out the bore for $25 a wheel, i just want to make sure that the integrity won't be compromised.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

shameless bump, but i was hoping someone would weigh in. my understanding is that it is safe to bore out up to 8mm?

im checking out a set of 16" rx7 bbs tomorrow and would like to make an offer if everything is kosher.

would greatly appreciate any input.

two shops said no problem, other shop said i need to bring in the wheels before they make a decision. the cited what you basically said :"the more material you take out, the weaker the wheel gets" :S. hoping for an opinion or feedback from someone who has done this.
