Illuminated Cruise Control Arm?

Is the text on the cruise control arm supposed to be illuminated, as on the turn signal arm? Thanks.

Might want to be more specific with that question. Year of your car would be a good start.

Sorry about that, new member registration asked for car type, but I guess it doesn't automatically show that in the details under my user name. Car is a 1986 GXL, 2+2, Jan 86 build. When the lights are on, the text on the cruise arm is not illuminated, unlike the left side turn signal arm. Cruise functions all work properly, and when the round black button in front is depressed, the "main" text turns on in the little display. Thanks for you help.

Thanks for the response pursuit1. Is your car an '86? Looks like I'll be taking the gauge cluster apart soon to investigate a burned out bulb.

I never use the cruise anyways so I just took the actuator out of the engine bay, as I always wanted to go faster after you set the cruise and sneak up on oncoming slower traffic!
