Ok I have a 1988 convertable with a s4 n/a street port. I raised the rpms to around 1200-1500 rpms during the very beginning of the break in. Well now when I lowered the rpms back to normal it will want to die if I have it in gear, foot on brake, and the heater on. Or sometime when I'm lowering the rpm by the set screw I will let it idle, (not touching the gas pedal) it will drop rpms and almost die the bounces back up it will repeat this a few time and die unless I give it more gas.

I've check the bac valve and it seems to be working. I unpluged it and the cars idle droped.
Some one please help me out with this it starting to drive me crazy! Thanks

 

Eliminate any vacuum leaks.

Use the proper idle speed setting procedure as laid out in the FSM.

Adjust the TPS afterwards and during.

 

I'm pretty sure there's no vacuum leaks. I replaced all lines and gaskets.

And where do I go to find fsm?

Same with tsp? How to do I adjust it?
