Idle and BAC Valve

I have removed the rats nest and blocked off the egr valve?(on top of the engine) and with the bac valve plugged in it refuses to idle below 1400rpm.

I have reset the ecu. and retested.

Also after removing the rats nest it runs leaner. however it runs rich with the bac valve unplugged. The front throttle plates have been removed and the cold start on the throttle body has been blocked off.

There is no "reset" for the ECU.

Sounds like you have simply created a vacuum leak.

Blocking off the cold start is kind of crazy.

Im 99% sure there is no vacuum leak. The car idles with the same constancy just at different rpms. The it idles at 1400 acting as if its supposed to with the bac valve plugged in. with it unplugged it idles at 700.

removing the cold start doesnt bother me, its mainly a garage kept car and it stays pretty warm down here.

Check to make sure the throttle body is not hung up on something.

Adjust the TPS.

If it is a TII, then there is an idle adjustment screw on the BAC. If all else fails, follow the factory idle adjustment procedure. On NAs, this is on the top of the throttle body.

It really sounds like a vacuum leak or physical issue with the throttle body.

The so called "throttle body mod" has caused more people to ruin their cars then anything else.
