ID this connector!

So, I'm installing a 13brew from an FD built 02/92 into another FD built in 05/92. There is a issue with one of the grey connectors on the drivers side next to the diagnostics plug. They don't mate. The wires going to the connectors are arranged the same way and are the same color, but the connectors themselves are keyed differently. Is there any reason I should be afraid of just splicing in the correct connector? I have it. and what are these wires going to/for?

The first pic is of the location on the 05/92 car
The second is a view of the connectors on said car
The third is of the old connector location on the old 02/92 car, which I could use to splice in to the new location.

Doesn't seem to be the AP connector. That's on the other side of the engine compartment and...IIRC, only a two-pin connector.
