i need some help.

i am new to the rotary thing. i want to run rally in nasa rally sport. i would be going for the 2wd modified class. i have looked at cars with different engines an and all that. i am wondering if an rx7 is a goode car to start with and if sow, which one. i like the first gen for its weight but the second gen has the power. you can also do an engine swap. thanks for any help.

my buddy rallys his FC and loves it, he's a 2002 G5 SCCA ProRally National Champion, and 2005 Cascade Cup Champion in it.

i would go for the FB though if it was me. i just like them better.

i have a ride

i just got a 1985 rx7 on ebay. it has the 12a but i think i can work with it any way. i have money for an engine swap but i am not sure if that is the way i want to go. dose it make more sense to spend $1400+ on a jdm turbo II with a tranny or spend that money on the 12a that is in the car? also dose any one have any recomendations on suspention for this car to run in rally.

If you look in the newbie section there is a large section on suspension that you will probably find helpful its by howard coleman I think. In the very least he could probably point you in the right direction.
