How to raise stock seat
Lame question and hardly technical but I'm too short and I don't want to crash my fc for not being able to see what's in front of me. Sitting upright, my eye level is well below the steering wheel. Is there some type of quick mod to fix this aside from sitting on a folded beach towel every time? It's no good when I can't see the road...
If someone else is 5'2" or shorter and has some encouragement, that would be nice too. Maybe it's just me and my preferred sitting but it's really not cool to have to sit on a towel this way.

The rails on the bottoms of the seats are held on by 4 bolts. On my original seats there were 4 ~1/4" spacers placed between the rails and the seat bottom, so it would sit a little higher. I don't know if a previous owner did this, or if it was factory. At any rate, you could use some longer bolts and taller spacers to bring the seat up as much as you want. I think at around the 1/2" mark, the stock bolts will not be long enough to thread in properly.

Hi, Sara! I'm small, too -4'11" to be exact! I bought my FB in 1979 - waaaay back when, just because I COULD see!! Not sure of the exact differences in the height of seat or slope of the hood - but back then, the choice of a car for a small gal were really lacking. I had a 1965 Mustang before I bought my Rx7 -I drove sitting on a boat cushion and had a pillow behind my back so I could reach the pedals!!
My 23 y/o daughter is shorter that I at 4'9". She drives my baby and can see fine. Yesterday we were looking at used cars for her - -the sales guy told us the same thing as RotaryRocket88 - add some spacers to the seat bolts and get longer bolts, if needed!
