how much "real" hp on s5 n/a

ok i looked at wikipedia and it says this:

1.3L 160 hp (119 kW) S5 Naturally aspirated 13B
1.3L 202 hp (151 kW) S5 Turbocharged 13B

i currently have an 89 gxl stock with street port

am i to expect 160 hp to the wheel? if not how much?
also how much hp should come with a street port? i read street ports add 20% so that means i should have 192 hp.

thanks sorry for the noob question but i want your guys answer not company reviews and such.

Horsepower, as given by all car manufacturers, is at the flywheel. Drivetrain losses are roughly about 17% on manual RX-7s, so 160 BHP = ~ 133 WHP.

"Streetport" is also an incredibly general term considering how different one port job can be from the next, so guessing that there is a guaranteed 20% gain to be had is no more than a guess. What I can tell you is that few NAs exceed the 150-160 whp range with intake/exhaust/porting/tuning work. And a port job without any supporting intake/exhaust modifications will likely net a very small power gain.

To be making 160whp you would have to be making 193hp at the flywheel (17% loss). If the engine only has a street port and is otherwise relatively stock I highly doubt you are making 193hp.

Tuning is your best friend when it comes to making hp out of a 6 port... My shop neighbor got 230hp (at flywheel) out of a stock port GSL-SE 13b with S5 intake manifold and bolt ons... he tuned it with a microtech.
