how much power can a 3rd gen make without blowing or needing to modify the inside of the motor? what would be a safe power level to shoot for in a weekend driver/track car?

 

A lot of factors determine what is safe for the car. Heck a stock FD with a stock cooling system isn't safe IMO lol. On a stock motor with no durability mods every HP more than stock reduces the life of the engine.

 

~ 300 RWHP +/- depending on level of safe running mods. Read this thread for mods / power level and other good info.
