How hard is it to get a FD running again?

So I may have the oppurtunity to pick up a good condition 94 FD for a good price, but the owner said he hasn't pulled it out of the garage for a year and a half... My question is how hard is it to get a rotory engine running after it sat for a while like that? I plan to bring a compression tester with me to make sure it wasn't blown or had any major compression loss in the rotors but aside from that where would I start on a project such as that? The obvious changing of fluids, gas, and spark plugs would be done first. Just didn't know if there is anything specific I have to look out for or anything special a rotory requires to be in 100% running condition again

Thanks for any input

Your question is about as vague as it can get.
Without more info on what the condition of the car is your guess is as good as you are going to get.
Normally it is easy to get a good condition car up and running after storage if it was properly stored, but seeing you have no info about it's condition it is a crap shoot!

Yeah, sorry I don't know too much about it yet, the guy lives 3 hours away from me so I haven't had the time to see it in person yet... But for the question, assume he just parked it in the garage after coming home one day and just left it there for a year. He didnt do anything special to it, just parked it as normal then never got back in the next day.

Basically it sat the same way he parked it

That may be the case. Maybe not. Why was the car left? Was he overseas, hospitalized...what? And if it's just a case of putting new gas in and changing oil, why doesn't he do it and charge more for a running/driving car?
If you're not familiar with the FD and rotarys...it better be a screaming deal or just go find a running car.

To answer your question....I would also pressure-test the cooling system. Then, if you buy it, IMO... replace with fresh gas and a bottle of some quality fuel system cleaner. I like Chevron-Techron or BG44K. Check air filter. Change oil...use something cheap. If it starts, get it up to operating temperature once or twice and then change coolant and oil again. Change transmission and differential gear oil and change brake fluid. New spark plugs. New fuel filter. Another bottle of fuel system cleaner.

"No we took it off the road because my bro went overseas in the navy and I went back to school at USF at that point it only needed new plugs and wires"
