How do i set up a air fuel ratio guage

the autometer air fuel ratio gauge has 3 cables a blue one a red one and a blck one. I installed it like this...
blue: extend a wire all the way until the Oxigen sensor cable ( your oxigen sensor must be in the down pipe.
Black: I connected it directly in to the negative end of the battery for a better ground.
Red: I tapped in to the cigarrete light on the fuse box
it works like a charm.
