How D! New member with FC VIN/Smog issues.
Hello all.
So, i'm new to this forum but not new to the rotary world. This is my second FC. So, here's the deal. I've done a search on this and came across several things that may help except it's an exception in my case. I just bought an '88 FC. Rebuilt engine, street-port, RB exhaust with custom exhaust, blah, blah, blah... So, to make it short, all "visuals" that would make the CA smog pass are gone, and obviously with the condition of the engine, it will not pass smog at all.
I went to a guy who was willing to pass it except we noticed the VIN on the driver side door well was unreadable so he can't go by the VIN on the firewall or dash. If anyone out there knows someone in southern Cali (San Fernando Valley) that will pass it even with this issue, please PM me. Thanks!
