how to check air conditioner - '88 10th ann. TII
Hi, folks. I'm trying to join this site, but the site itself is making it dang difficult. There is some ridiculous rule here about having at least 3 posts before I can respond to messages in other sections of this site. So, am I supposed to just make up 3 issues/subjects & post those "dummy" messages just to get past that 3-message rule? Pretty crazy!
Anyway, to the real subject of this post: I'm the original owner of my '88 10th anniversary Turbo II, in pristine condition & with the fewest miles (all mine, of course) of any TII in existence. I'm looking at the air conditioning system, and am wondering how to routinely check it. Amazingly, there are no specific instructions in the owner's manual or in the workshop manual. Under the engine bay hood, there is what appears to be a round clear plastic window, observable from above, in front of the radiator, on the passenger side, and encircled by a black plastic shield. Is this "window" supposed to indicate the proper level of refrigerant in the air conditioner? I'd appreciate all help. Thanks much
Jim
