Hold Feature

Does anyone know what the 'Hold' feature on the auto box 1993 RX-7 is? It seems in operation that it is an economy mode feature. Technical info would be appreciated. Thanks...AL

It holds the current gear for as long as it's pressed. Prevents the ECU from upshifting during spirited driving.

ACTUALLY DIDN'T WORK THAT WAY. THE HOLD LIGHT REMAINED ON WHEN THE BUTTON WAS NO LONG PRESSED AND CAR DROVE NORMALLY AT A HIGHER GEAR AND APPARENTLY REDUCED POWER. TRIGGER LIGHT OFF AND THE CAR ACCELERATED USING ALL GEARS. THE POWER DELIVERY CHANGE WAS DRAMATIC.

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE Aaron
