High clutch point.
High clutch point.
Hi guys! I am looking at purchasing my first FD (Had a FC 10+ yrs ago when I was 21 and had been missing it so much since) and I have been test driving a few FDs during the weekend.
I test drove 2x Type RB in blue, a yellow Bathurst R and a super rare Spirit R in titanium grey. Besides one of the RB which is relatively done up with full exhaust, 19" and induction upgrade, all the other 3 FDs are stock standard.
I understand that they are all different cars, I found it weird that they all have different clutch points? I actually felt the most comfortable with the Bathurst R's clutch as the friction point sits much lower than the other examples, which the done up RB sitting the highest. Can someone please explain to me what this means? One dealer said to me that the lower the friction point is, the most likely the clutch is about to die. True or not?
