HID Choices?

I have been looking for some HID's for my car. I tried searching google, youtube, amazon reviews, and on the forum but seem to get mixed results.

I found that most people like the DDM tuning HID's because they are cheap and have an actual warranty. But have no say in the matter as this is the internet. I know it is all china crap most likely, but have nothing to go off of because they show up in many searches. I know OEM stuff is the best and that there are a few kits made from vendors on here but the whole setup is quite spendy and I am on a budget.

What brand or setup is recommended guys? Something less or around 100 bucks would be great.

Thanks

You're looking for HIDs for the '70s bug in your signature, or another vehicle?

My smartass answer is to keep the old style headlights so you don't blind and **** off other drivers.

That said, is there no generic kit available that's made in China (they're all going to be made in China) in the bulb size of your car? I'd think they come in every size, since a friend just bought a set that fit his FD and it appears to be just generic, fitting whatever vehicle happens to have that sealed beam size.

I have the DDM kit with 35 watt 10000k bulbs. It was literally plug and play but there are a few down sides. I found that the pwoer cable for the kit was a bit too short for my application since my battery is relocated behind the drivers seat so I have to cut, strip, solder, and heat shrink an extension of wire to the original harness. Not that bad of an issue imo. The other thing is I would recommend getting HID projector headlights that way you don't have to cut and chop the stock headlights (and you have a back up on the off chance that you blow a ballast.

I have not had a problem with the DDM kit mechanically wise and I have had it for almost a year now.
