Help... Somking Rotary

Hey guys just looking for some input. I have an '86 Mazda RX7 N/A that has some smoking concerns. When I first bought the car it smoked terribly... all the time. After replacing the throtle body(linkages were frozen on the old one), changing the oil, plugs, and getting a fellow tech to adjust the AFM, MAP, and air/fuel mixture she got way better. I now only get what I have read as normal high milage smoke at start up and if I drive it before it has warmed up. After I hit full operating temperature I am fine till about 4k rpm. After 4k as long as I am on the gas I'm good. But once I shift I get a blue/white puff and if I let the engine brake the vehicle I will get a constant blue/white dusting (sometimes bad... like loose the traffic and sunlight behind you bad). From everything I have read I probably just need to bite the bullet and rebuild but has anyone else run into this? I really hate to pull it down when I don't have to. I can tell the engine has been out of the car previously. What was done I couldn't tell you nor could the previous owner. I can see rtv in places and the entire engine has been painted so who knows for sure what was done. Anyways could it be an issue with the oil injector manifold? Or maybe a vaccum switch not opening at the right time causing high crankcase vaccum/pressure? Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks.
