Help with rust! FB.

Hi everybody I have a 1st gen 85' RX and I found a strange problem the other day. I was working inside when out of curiosity I pulled down the fuse box and the tray was covered with water. I figured there had to be a leak somewhere near the driver side so I took of took of the cowl cover and moved the windshield wiper motor out of the way to get a better look and noticed some rust spots to the far end. To test if this was the problem i took a water hose and put some water in there and I checked the inside and there was water dripping out. My question is how do I go about fixing this rust hole and patching it? The spot its in is very hard to get to.

kinda hard to say without looking at it. Do you want it perfect or stop from rusting? If you want to stop the rust, just hand sand it down and put some primer

Anytime the rust goes through the metal (hole) the proper fix is to clean the area and patch it ( replace with new metal) but if this will take time for you to prepare for then simply sand and primer the area and fill the hole with silicon
