help with n/a s4

so im still new at buying used engines, but mine blew up. there is an engine for sale semi locally that has 60 thousand miles on it ( thats what the guy claims) but it has been sitting inside for 6 years. how much is it worth? and how likley is it that nothign has gone bad? or is it very likley that everythign is bad? Thanks alot for your help

If the motor starts up then it should be fine. However have a compression test done on the motor to make sure that everything checks out. Check for oil leaks as well. Usually you can tell the truth on a motor by checking the belts (that's how I do it at least). If it looks destroyed or really worn out, it's usually a false statement by the seller.

Or is the motor in a warehouse/shop just sitting on a pallet?



If the motor is blown, you should move on to the next one that you can find.
