Help help help!!! 88 fc
ok so got home yesturday poped my hood and i saw smoke and the smell of burning coolent one of my heater core hoses blew and i tryed to FAB my own and i couldnt get it to work so im gunna delete the heater core the one from the engine to the firewall im gunna cap it off for now! and buy some heater hoses from mazdatrix when i have some extra money soo anyone on here have a how to on this??

Can you clarify what you are saying?
Why not just get a replacement heater hose as the local Mazda dealer. Or buy some heater hose from a local auto parts store.

alright yeah nevermind that was a stupid idea...i found a replacement heater hose!
but i have another problem i pretty sure my fuel sensor is bad because everytime i start up my car my fuel gauge reads differently everytime i start it up...for example it will sometimes be on E or 1/4 tank or 2/4 tank sometimes even over the full line...whats up with this is my fuel pump bad??? where is the fuel sensor at??

The fuel level sensor is located in the tank. It is accessible via pulling the fuel pump assembly from the tank. There is an access hatch in the floor of the rear hatch area near the driver shock tower.
The Factory Service Manual can be found in the FAQ For FC thread. It contains all this information and more, and is an essential tool for any sort of service work that needs to be performed on these cars.
Additionally, the Haynes service manual for the 1986 thru 1991 RX-7 (both turbo and NA) can be found at most local auto parts stores or purchased from any good bookstore (ISBN number 1 56392 007 7). It is only about $25 and is a great quick reference for things like this. Not only does it contain most of the information in the FSM condensed into an easy to read format, but it includes full wiring diagrams as well.
These manuals will answer 99% of service related questions for the car and if you intend to do your own repair work, you will need at least one of them. Preferably both, since the FSM is a free download.

In the attached image, the fuel level sensor is the rectangle thingy attached to a movable arm, shown in green. The red item is the filter for the low pressure side, also known as the fuel sock.
